Over the past two days, GESIS presented RIDLOP at the kick-off event of the new BMFTR Framework Programme for the humanities and social sciences in Berlin. Under the title “Orientierung für eine Welt im Wandel”, the event brought together actors from research, policy, funding, and practice. At the “Marktplatz der Ideen”, GESIS presented RIDLOP together with the project KODAQS (Hub for Data Quality in the Social Sciences) with a joint poster and demonstrations of tools for data collection and quality assessment. Federal Research Minister Dorothee Bär visited the booth and discussed both projects with the GESIS team. Her central question, whether researchers will finally get reliable access to platform data, addresses exactly what RIDLOP is being built for.
